Nick and Sidra

Nick and I were engaged in August 2010 and were married on June 5, 2011.

I am Pakistani, and he is Macedonian.  We tried our best to infuse both our cultures in our wedding and we hope you enjoy reading about it on our blog.  Long after the wedding is over, I’m still absolutely smitten with weddings (hence why this blog just keeps on going!).

  1. Lovely couple, the two of you make. No I am not a stalker but I do love other cultures, so your blog, the picture helped, is now one of my favorites.

I remember a very long time ago asking an older woman friend where macadamia nuts come from and she said ” there is a country called Macedonia” and then she said something else about climate and conditions particular Macedonia.

  2. Thank you so much Lois!! 🙂 🙂 I know, Macedonia is such a small country, I think they gained independence very recently, in about 1994 I believe!

  3. Hi Sidra! I just discovered your blog and love the fact that you’re integrating your cultures into your wedding! My fiance and I are including some Korean aspects in our wedding to reflect my background, too. 🙂

  4. Hi Elizabeth! thank you!! I know it’s such a challenge to bring both of them together but we are trying and are so excited for the end result 🙂 Can’t wait to see how your wedding turns out, best of luck to you!

  5. Hello Sidra!

I hope your wedding went smoothly and was as happy an occasion as it could be! I run a DIY Wedding website ands wanted to know if you would be interested in sharing your wedding (particularly the DIY elements) with my viewers! Drop me a line once you’re rested (I know it might seem to take forever to receover from wedding day!!!!) and let me know.

Looking forward to hearing from you. 🙂
